Taste of Honduras

Warm and comforting — caramel, baking spice, and brown sugar, the kind of cup that feels like it was made for a cold morning.

This coffee comes from Café Orgánico Marcala, a cooperative of 1,500 grower-members working the hills of Marcala, La Paz, Honduras. The farms sit between 1,300 and 1,700 meters in mineral-rich clay soil, growing a wide mix of varieties — Bourbon, Catuaí, Caturra, Lempira, and Typica — reflecting decades of smallholder diversity rather than a single estate's choice.

The cherries are fully washed, then sun-dried, a process well-suited to Marcala's cooler highland climate and one that lets the coffee's natural sweetness carry through cleanly.
